Description

I have captured this region with multiple rigs this June. From the Samyang 135, the WO GT81 and now the RC10. I am currently working with another Astrobin member helping him dial in his Orion RC10. He was imaging this object and I offered to duplicate his data with my rig to see if I could duplicate issues he is having with his. As a result, the 2600mcPro was used with the Antlia ALP-T filter and also the Optolong LeXtreme filter. I made runs with both filters to compare. This image is both datasets combined. I usually shoot with a .85 reducer/flattener to bring the FL down to 1350mm. This data was captured at F/8 without the reducer/flattener. Plate-solved at 2034mm at F/8.

Was impressed with both filters, all data was captured during a very bright, near-full, Moon. While I wish I used the 2600mmPro with NB filters because the image has more Oiii in it that would be easier to bring out with true NB data.

A relatively short stack at 4h45m at F/8 I decided to put a pin in it. Other objects are calling...
